Kelly Cook, PA-C

Physician Assistant to: Dr. Jarrad Merriman

Kelly Cook was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, and is an alumnus of Liberty High School. She attended Bakersfield College and transferred to the University of California, Davis, where she received her bachelor’s degree in genetics with a minor in education. After graduating, Kelly moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where she spent six years working as a medical assistant in a pain management clinic. It was here that she found great fulfillment in working with patients, which led her to pursue a career as a physician assistant.

Kelly attended the University of Washington’s physician assistant program, where she spent her first two years working in an occupational medicine clinic before joining Dr. Jarrad Merriman’s team at Southern California Orthopedic Institute. As a physician assistant, Kelly assists Dr. Merriman in performing clinical exams, providing therapeutic injections, and ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies.

Kelly is committed to making a meaningful impact on her patients’ lives through compassionate care and personalized treatment plans. She believes in building trusting relationships with her patients to support them with their healthcare needs.

Kelly is available to see patients in our Bakersfield office.
