I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University in Los Angeles and went on to complete my Master of Science in Nursing at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. I am an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing high-quality care grounded in compassion, collaboration, and trust.
Before joining SCOI, I worked at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center, where I gained extensive experience in adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma, adult reconstruction, and sports medicine. I cared for patients in one of the region’s most diverse and demanding clinical settings, often serving underserved and high-need populations. These experiences strengthened my commitment to delivering equitable, comprehensive, and patient-centered care.
I bring to SCOI a well-rounded background in both surgical and nonsurgical orthopedics, along with a strong commitment to helping my patients restore function and improve their quality of life. As a nurse practitioner, I evaluate and examine patients, review and interpret laboratory and imaging studies, make diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, perform joint injections, and serve as a first assistant to Dr. Hernandez in the operating room. My clinical focus includes hip and knee joint replacement surgery as well as orthopedic trauma, and I take pride in guiding patients through every stage of their care.
In my free time, I enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
I am available to see patients in our Van Nuys office.
