Gary Notkin, PA-C

Physician Assistant to: Dr. Richard Ferkel & Dr. Eric Ferkel

Gary Notkin is a board-certified Physician Assistant and athletic trainer working with Dr. Richard Ferkel and Dr. Eric Ferkel. He performs patient histories and physical examinations, establishes diagnoses, and develops comprehensive treatment plans.

Gary is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences PA program. His interests in sports medicine and orthopedics began as an athlete in pursuit of playing college and professional tennis. Extensive training and competition led to great results, but unfortunately also led to numerous injuries, which instilled a drive to not only become the best tennis player, but also a desire to help others not endure the same injuries. He played Division 1 tennis at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and South Dakota State University, where he graduated with a degree in Athletic Training. Following his graduation, he returned to Minneapolis, where he worked as an Athletic Trainer at Allina Health. There, he worked alongside the team physicians for the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota United, as well as provided sideline coverage at various sporting events. He also continued to compete in tennis tournaments and coached at numerous tennis clubs in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

In his free time, he enjoys playing and coaching tennis, paddle tennis, and pickleball, working out, hiking, biking, going to the beach, exploring LA, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

It is his goal to provide you with the same thorough and compassionate care that he would offer his family and friends.

Gary is available to see patients in the Van Nuys, Porter Ranch, and Westlake Village offices.
