Physician Assistant to: Dr. Mark Schamblin
Alejandro (Alex) Kashani is a certified physician assistant working alongside Dr. Mark Schamblin at Southern California Orthopedic Institute’s Bakersfield office. He provides specialized care in sports medicine, focusing on shoulder, elbow, and knee conditions. His role includes performing clinical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, administering therapeutic injections, making diagnoses, and formulating personalized treatment plans.
Alex completed a five-year accelerated program at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, earning his Bachelor of Science in medical studies and Master of Science in physician assistant studies. This intensive training has equipped him with the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Originally from Montreal, Canada, Alex grew up passionate about sports, playing ice hockey, soccer, and tennis. His experiences as an athlete inspired his interest in orthopedics and sports medicine, fueling his commitment to helping others recover and return to the activities they love.
Alex is available to see patients in our Bakersfield-Truxtun office.
