On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, fellowship-trained sports medicine and reconstructive knee and shoulder surgeon Dr. Richard Ferkel was inducted into the Smith+Nephew Hall of Fame. He was honored for his contributions to orthopedic surgery and innovation and his commitment to helping patients.

Dr. Ferkel is only the eighth surgeon ever inducted in the company’s 168-year history.
