Why Ski and Snowboard Injuries Spike in Winter

Unlike many field or court sports, skiing and snowboarding expose athletes to sustained eccentric loading, torsional forces through rigid boots, and high-energy falls at speed. Cold weather reduces tissue elasticity, while fatigue compromises joint control, particularly late in the day. Shoulder

Ankle and Foot

Head and Spine

When To Stop Skiing or Snowboarding
