Saul M. Bernstein, MD

It is with great sadness that the Southern California Orthopedic Institute announces the passing of Dr. Saul Bernstein. Dr. Bernstein was a beloved and respected member of the SCOI family; his death is a tremendous loss to us, the medical community and the world at large.







Dr. Bernstein graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, receiving Orthopedic training at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

He then spent a year as a Pediatric Fellow in Sheffield, England.

A Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Southern California, Dr. Bernstein served as Acting Chief of Orthopedic Surgery of Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for three years.

He has authored a number of scientific articles on pediatric and adolescent orthopedics, as well as treatment of and surgery for scoliosis. Dr. Bernstein lectures on pediatric and adolescent orthopedics nationally and internationally.

Dr. Bernstein is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

His outside interests include racquetball, skiing, and scuba driving.
